Celebrating 30 years of Michael Lynch Family Lawyers
In 2026, we celebrate 30 years of dedicated Family Law practice, representing three decades of trusted guidance, unwavering support and exceptional outcomes for clients during some of the most challenging times in their lives.
Relationships remain at the heart of everything we do. Not only the care and commitment we show to our clients, but also the strong connections we’ve built with our team, our partners, and the broader legal community.
It all began in 1996, when Michael Lynch launched a new firm with a fresh approach. As the first specialist Family Law firm in Brisbane, we set out to do things differently, and today, we remain proud to be Queensland’s leading specialist Family Law firm.
Thirty years on, the firm continues to evolve and grow while staying true to its foundations. We’ve expanded our team, strengthened our expertise, and maintained a culture that values collaboration, support, and excellence.

As we celebrate this milestone, we recognise and thank the people who have been part of the firm’s journey, past and present, and the clients whose trust has allowed us to serve and support them over the years.
Family Law is one of the most dynamic areas of legal practice. Social attitudes, family structures and community expectations continue to evolve, driving significant legislative and judicial change. From parenting matters and child support to property settlements and de facto relationships, the transformation over the past 30 years has been significant. Staying abreast of these developments is both a responsibility and an essential part of delivering the highest standard of advice to our clients.
As a firm, we’re incredibly grateful to our clients and our wonderful team whose contributions and many achievements have made Michael Lynch Family Lawyers what it is today.
While much has changed over the past 30 years, our purpose remains constant: to support our clients with care, professionalism and unwavering commitment, today and for many years to come.
